We checked the websites of 86 open UK venues on 19 October 2026. 46 publish a price. Of those, 33 publish a per-lane price for indoor (or tech) lanes. That is the sample used below. Whole-hall rates (9 venues) and outdoor nets are left out of the averages, because they are not comparable per lane. 40 listed venues publish no price at all.
"Cheapest time" means each venue's off-peak or lowest published rate. "Peak" means its peak rate, or its single rate if it has only one. Some venues sell 50–55 minute sessions rather than full hours. We record their prices as published.

Bowling machines
9 of the 33 priced venues include a bowling machine in the lane price. Many of these are self-service centres where you book online and get a door code. Elsewhere, a machine is a paid add-on. The add-on prices we found are on each venue's page.
How to save money on winter nets
Book off-peak
Where venues publish two rates, the off-peak (usually weekday daytime) rate is lower. See each listing for the time bands.
Ask about block bookings
Several centres advertise discounts for winter blocks or 10+ sessions, for example HECC, Cranleigh and Power Play. Their rates are on request.
Check the session length
A "per session" price for 50 or 55 minutes is not the same as a full hour. Our listings show what each venue states.
