Privacy
The venue pages are public information from published sources. A visitor can also send us a form, and we count page views and Book now clicks. This page says what we collect, why, where it is stored, how long it is kept, and how to ask for it to be removed.
Analytics
We use cookieless Vercel Web Analytics for page views and Book now clicks. A Book now click is recorded with the venue id only. That record has no personal data and uses no cookies.
Newsletter
The Nets Report form collects an email address. We use it to send the weekly nets roundup. The note on the form says you can unsubscribe any time.
Add a venue
This form collects the venue name, postcode, website or booking page, and price. We use those details to check the place against a published page before listing it.
Report a correction
This form collects the venue name and a description of what is wrong. We use that to correct a listing. It is also the contact form for this site, including a request to delete something you sent.
Get featured
This form collects the venue name, your name, an email address, an optional phone number, and a message. We use them to reply about featuring that venue.
Where it is stored
Each submission is a private file in Vercel storage connected to this project. The files are not published on NetsNearMe. We do not store IP addresses with them. A short count of recent attempts from a connection is kept in memory so the forms are not flooded, and that count is not saved with the submission.
How long it is kept
A newsletter address is kept while we are still sending you the roundup. A venue, correction, or feature note is kept until we have dealt with it, and then it is deleted. Nothing from these forms is kept as a public archive.
Ask for removal
Use the correction form and say what should be removed, such as a newsletter signup or a venue note. We will delete the matching file from private storage.
UK GDPR
NetsNearMe is the data controller. Contact us about your data through the correction form.
The newsletter is sent on the basis of your consent. You can unsubscribe any time. Corrections, new-venue submissions and Get featured requests are handled on the basis of our legitimate interests: keeping the listings accurate and replying to people who write in.
